Northern Lights Veterinary Clinic is located in Labrador City and is a progressive fast-paced clinic servicing a wide area in western Labrador with many great clients. The hospital is well-equipped with Cornerstone software, ultrasound, in-house blood machine and digital radiography. We are looking to hire a Veterinarian to join the team.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, trustworthy, have a strong work ethic, is a team player and is accustom to a demanding and fast pace schedule. Candidates must be motivated to provide high quality medical and surgical care to our patients. Being comfortable in emergency situations and paid on-call services is required. Bilingualism, in French and English, is considered an asset, though not required.  

The perks are exceptional – a $10,000 signing bonus for a 1-year contract, paid accommodations, moving allowance and even a food allowance. Above average pay ($90,000-$130,000, with paid on-call and commission after 6-months) plus paid registration fees, CE allowance, uniforms, medical and dental benefits and three weeks vacation. VSCNL is Newfoundland and Labrador’s only veterinary specialty referral centre and 24 hours full service emergency clinic, and the 2019 CVMA Practice of the Year Award recipient. We have board certified surgeon and radiologist, a CT scanner, offer chemotherapy, run a canine blood donor program and have an ICU that is fully staffed 24 hours a day. When it comes to diagnosing and treating the pets of Newfoundland and Labrador, there is nothing we won’t do!

Our focus is on excellent patient and client care, and promoting a team approach with opportunities for both professional and personal growth. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in emergency or those who have completed a rotating internship.
